Being apart of the African American community, I value the variety of information that is found in Essence magazine. The editor choice fully includes articles that hit a variety of audiences. I appreciate the articles on family, finances, spirit and also get a kick out of the current entertainment issues. I have received Essence magazine for a few years and plan to continue to do so. While juggling work, family and graduate school commitments I still find the time to read through Essence and often pass on articles of interest to family and friends. Keep up the good work Essence!

Essence Magazine is what I like to call a Black Woman's Best Friend. You can go to Essence with an 'issue', and before you finish the magazine you've got your answer plus fashion pointers to boot. It’s like having a circle of friends w/o having to say a word. The articles are well written & very informative plus the fashions are stellar & it’s for black women by strong black women.

I enjoy reading Essence magazine every month it gives me personally something to look forward to in the latest styles, hairdo's, health issues, entertainment, and the know on who's who, with the most recent updates on financial reports, and teaching us to be debt free.

Young professionals will love this modern, sophisticated magazine that addresses its audience on a mature level without being boring or condescending.

This magazine is written with the need of the African American community in mind. It provides information on financial management, relationships, as well as how to protect our health as well as the health of our families. Unfortunately, just like all other magazines they only focus on who’s who of today to write about or to feature on their cover. To be honest, I only subscribe because the fashion and beauty tips really work for me.
